During my visit to the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, located on the grounds of the World Apostolate of Fatima in beautiful Warren County, Washington, New Jersey, I photographed what I would best describe as Rays of God's Light.  The photograph was taken on July 11, 2008 at 3:45 PM. The Catholic chapel had subdued lighting, so I used the flash to take indoor photographs. 

The following scripture came to mind while taking photographs inside the chapel: "Now this is the message that we have heard from him and proclaim to you: God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all."  John 1:5

Moreover, sunlight appears to be shining through the stained glass window, creating beautiful rainbow colors!  Astonishingly, the sunlight is entering through the front glass doors of the chapel into the stained glass window which is inside and adjacent to the entrance way of the church. Incredibly, the rays of light are flowing towards the ceiling inside the chapel. The sun was high above the entrance way when I took the photograph. Without question, the Lord can do amazing things!  I cannot explain the phenomenon; however, God seems to work in mysterious ways.  Our Lord Jesus sends signs and wonders when we least expect it.

Remarkably, the stained glass window is a representation of the Miracle of the Sun, which was witnessed by 70,000 people on October 13, 1917 in Fatima, Portugal!

The following scripture best describes the photograph: "Praise God in his Holy sanctuary; give praise in the mighty dome of heaven. Give praise for his mighty deeds, praise him for his great majesty."  - Psalm 150:1-2

Make Note: After the photograph was taken, I shared the image directly as captured on the camera's digital memory card with my spiritual advisor, Fr. Richard Tartaglia of Saint Mary's Church, Denville, NJ.  The original digital images were transferred onto a CD for church archives.  A copy of the CD was also given to Father Paul Ruge in 2009.  Father Paul is the Spiritual Director of the World Apostolate of Fatima, USA.

Additionally, NJ.com reported that on September 8, 2007, visitors to the National Blue Army Shrine of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Washington, New Jersey, witnessed the Miracle of the Sun and saw Jesus and Mary in the sky during the solar phenomenon.   For information regarding the story, please visit the following link: As Fatima Anniversary Nears, Thousands Flock to New Jersey Shrine
